Reverse description A large winged thunderbolt depicted frontally at center, with symmetrically spread dotted wings and radiating zigzag lightning bolts, struck in bold, deeply cut relief. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is inscribed across the upper field, with the abbreviated ethnic or epithet ΔΑ appearing centrally above the thunderbolt device. The legend ΙΕΡΩΝΥΜΟΥ curves along the lower field, completing the royal titulary reading 'Of King Hieronymus.' The thunderbolt as principal type evokes Hieronymus's assertion of divine kingship in the established Hellenistic royal tradition. The reverse design closely follows conventions of contemporary Hellenistic dynastic coinage.
