Obverse description Diademed head of Hieronymus facing left, rendered in the refined Hellenistic portrait tradition with elaborately detailed, tightly curling hair bound by a broad royal diadem. The youthful, idealized profile displays strong, well-defined features characteristic of Hellenistic royal portraiture. A winged thunderbolt symbol occupies the field to the rear of the portrait, serving as a divine emblem aligning the king with Zeus. No legend is present on the obverse. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of Syracusan silver issues of this period.
