Additional information

Italian Somaliland issued its own coinage only briefly, and the 1925 10 Lire was part of a small series authorized under the colonial administration as Mogadishu developed into a functional administrative center. The series was struck at Rome and saw limited circulation in a territory where barter and Maria Theresa Thalers had long dominated local exchange.

KM#8 is genuinely scarce in any grade — total mintage figures were low even by colonial issue standards, and attrition in a coastal tropical environment was brutal on silver.
