The composition evokes classical allegory rendered in the Liberty-influenced style of early twentieth-century Italian medallic art. The denomination LIRE 10 appears in the field to either side of the central figure, with the legend REGNO D'ITALIA arcing along the upper periphery. In the exergue, the engraver's name E. BONINSEGNA, the designer's name M. L. GIORGI INC., the mintmark R, and the date are inscribed, flanked by the Star of Italy.
