| 备注 |
Italian prisoner of war camps operated their own internal scrip systems during the Second World War, issuing denominated notes redeemable only within camp boundaries — a deliberate policy to prevent currency from funding escape attempts or benefiting the local civilian economy. Campo N. 15 was one of dozens of such camps established across the Italian peninsula and its occupied territories.
The precise location of Campo 15 remains uncertain in the literature; Italian POW camp numbering was not always geographically systematic, and administrative records for the smaller camps were poorly preserved after the armistice of September 1943, when many facilities fell into chaos.
