Obverse description The three towers of San Marino — the Guaita, Cesta, and Montale — rise prominently in the center of the field, each surmounted by a stylized flame or pennant, rendered in a bold, graphic style. The Latin legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO curves along the upper periphery, while the motto LIBERTAS appears across the lower central field beneath the towers. Small decorative floral or foliate ornaments flank the date 1975, which is inscribed along the lower rim. The engraver's initials B.B. appear in small characters at the lower right, near the rim.
