Opmerkingen

Military Payment Scrip issued by an American enlisted men's club — not an official MPC series but a unit-level convenience currency, used internally to run a cash economy within the club without putting official dollars into circulation. These squadron-level scrips were printed informally, often locally, and the issuing authority had no legal standing to produce currency of any kind. Most were destroyed after the unit disbanded or rotated out.

The 956th Air Engineering Squadron was a USAAF maintenance unit. That these notes survived at all is largely accidental.
