| Reverse description | A detailed scenic view of the Jeita Grotto, one of Lebanon's most celebrated natural landmarks and a candidate for the New Seven Wonders of Nature, rendered in fine engraved relief at center. The subterranean cave formation is depicted with stalactites and the underground lake, conveying the geological grandeur of the site. A peripheral Arabic legend in the upper field identifies the issuing bank, flanked on either side by a five-pointed star acting as punctuation. The site name is inscribed in Arabic script in the lower portion of the field. The composition is framed by a smooth, raised rim consistent with proof striking. |
