备注

The Free Territory of Trieste never actually existed when this note was printed. Issued in 1945 by a Yugoslav-backed banking authority, it preceded the formal partition into Zones A and B by two years — the note was a political instrument before it was a monetary one, circulating in Yugoslav-administered territory as the postwar settlement remained violently unresolved. The Gospodarska banka was itself a short-lived institution, created specifically to establish economic administrative control over a region that Tito was determined not to lose.

Printed in Zagreb by the Hrvatska državna tiskara, the note's Yugoslav provenance was barely concealed — an awkward reality for a currency nominally serving an internationalized free territory.
