正面描述 A bust portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in formal attire occupies the right portion of the note, set against an intricate guilloche underprint rendered in green. The denomination numeral '10' appears in each corner, flanked by ornamental guilloche rosettes and fine lathe-work border patterns. The serial number and series prefix appear twice, at upper centre and lower left, with three facsimile signatures of bank officials printed below the central text panel.

背面描述 The central vignette presents an intaglio view of the historic Meriç (Maritsa) River bridge at Edirne, framed by overhanging trees and a wide riverbank landscape rendered in brown tones. To the left, a large ornamental guilloche medallion with a floral rosette motif provides decorative balance, while the right side features a blank oval reserve intended for the watermark. The border is composed of fine geometric lathe-work with corner cartouches bearing the denomination.

备注

The P#158 belongs to Turkey's third emission series, issued as the Central Bank worked to stabilize confidence following the chronic inflation of the early-to-mid 1950s that had severely eroded purchasing power under the Democrat Party government. The 10 Lira denomination was the everyday workhorse of that period, and De La Rue's London contract for Turkish notes had been continuous for decades by this point — the relationship predating the republic itself through earlier Ottoman commissions.

Brown-reverse specimens show heavier wear in circulation than comparable notes from the same series, suggesting this variant moved through trade more freely than the later replacement issues.
