Opmerkingen

Turkey contracted the American Bank Note Company for several postwar issues, and this note belongs to a printing relationship that stretched across much of the early Republican period. The ABNC's New York facilities were responsible for the intaglio work, giving the series a crispness of line that domestic printing could not yet match — Turkey's own security printing infrastructure was still developing in the late 1940s.

The "Brown" designation in dealer shorthand distinguishes this from earlier 10 Lira issues in the same Pick sequence that differ primarily by color. A minor but practically necessary distinction when cataloging this decade's Turkish output.
