备注

Turkey's wartime neutrality did not prevent it from maintaining a commercial printing contract with Nazi Germany's state press. This note was produced by the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin at a moment when the Turkish government was carefully balancing relations between the Axis and Allied powers — a politically awkward arrangement that was never publicly advertised.

The Reichsdruckerei had supplied Turkish banknote work through the late 1930s, and the relationship continued into the war years despite the obvious complications. Delivery logistics alone, with wartime transport across occupied Europe, were considerable.
