| Obverse description | Purple and yellow intaglio-printed note with the bank title BANCO DA BEIRA arched across the upper portion. A central oval vignette encloses the numeral 10 over a harbour scene with ships and cargo bales, surrounded by elaborate guilloche underprint in orange and yellow. Denomination cartouches reading DEZ appear at left and centre-left, a red overprint numeral 10 occupies the upper right corner, and the promise text pagará a vista ao portador together with the date Beira, de Fevereiro de 1921 and two manuscript signatures appear in the lower half, with OURO in a boxed panel at the foot. |
