Reverse description Blue and yellow intaglio-printed reverse centred on a large circular vignette containing the Portuguese colonial arms — the quinas shield within a circular border — encircled by the bank name BANCO DA BEIRA and flanked by laurel branches. Intricate guilloche lacework panels fill the corners and side panels, with denomination cartouches DEZ at upper left and right and sterling pound sign numerals £10 at lower left and right. The word OURO appears in a rectangular panel below the arms vignette.
