| Reverse description | A finely modelled high-relief bust portrait of Nayden Gerov facing slightly left occupies the central field, depicting the Bulgarian scholar, poet, and diplomat with characteristic beard and moustache, dressed in period formal attire with a decorative order visible at the lapel. The mirror-polished background provides strong contrast to the frosted portrait relief. The commemorative legend '200 ГОДИНИ ОТ РОЖДЕНИЕТО НА НАЙДЕН ГЕРОВ' arcs along the upper and left periphery in bold Cyrillic lettering, with the year '2023' positioned at the lower left along the rim. |

| Additional information |
Nayden Gerov (1823–1900) was a Bulgarian scholar, diplomat, and lexicographer whose six-volume dictionary of the Bulgarian language — compiled over decades and published posthumously — remains one of the foundational works in Bulgarian linguistics. He also served as a Russian imperial consul in Plovdiv during the Ottoman period, a position that placed him at the intersection of Bulgarian national revival politics and Russian imperial ambition in the Balkans.
The coin marks the bicentennial of his birth.
