| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a detailed architectural rendering of the facade of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia, depicted in fine relief with its characteristic Neo-Baroque style, featuring a prominent pediment adorned with sculptural relief groups, flanking domed towers, and a colonnade of pilasters across the main facade. The building's entablature bears the inscription 'НАРОДЕН ТЕАТЪР ИВАН ВАЗОВ' in the frieze. The upper circumferential legend reads 'НАРОДЕН ТЕАТЪР · ИВАН ВАЗОВ ·', while the lower field carries the inscription '100 ГОДИНИ' (100 Years), commemorating the centenary of the theatre's establishment. |

Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia was completed in 1907, though the original building burned to the ground in 1923 and the current neo-baroque structure was rebuilt and reopened in 1929. The piedfort format — struck at double the standard planchet thickness — has no circulation purpose; these are purely collector strikes, produced in small numbers and typically sold directly by issuing banks at a premium over face value.
KM#P4 places this firmly in the piedfort subset of Bulgarian commemorative coinage, a category the Bulgarian National Bank used selectively in the early 2000s.
