Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King George I facing left, rendered in a mature, naturalistic portrait style engraved by Jean-Auguste Barre. The king's hair is depicted with fine detail, swept back from the forehead. The engraver's signature BARRE appears in small lettering below the truncation, with the date 1882 in the lower exergue. The circular legend around the periphery reads ΓΕΩΡΓΙΟΣ Α! ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ ΤΩΝ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ, and the whole design is framed by a beaded border.

Reverse description The denomination is displayed prominently in two lines at the centre of the field: the numeral 10 above ΛΕΠΤΑ, all enclosed within a laurel and olive wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The ancient Greek monetary term ΔΙΩΒΟΛΟΝ (diobol) arcs across the upper portion of the field above the wreath. A small mint mark appears in the lower field, and the entire design is framed by a beaded border.
