Reverse description Central field bears the denomination 10 ΛΕΠΤΑ (10 Lepta) in two lines within an open wreath composed of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, the year 1828 inscribed in the exergue below the wreath. The circular peripheral legend ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΤΗΣ Ι• Α• ΚΑΠΟΔΙΣΤΡΙΑΣ (Governor I. A. Kapodistrias) runs around the rim, honouring Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first Governor of Greece. The overall design is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of the Aegina Mint's output during the early years of the Greek state.
