| 正面描述 | Black intaglio on light-green and multicolor guilloche underprint. A portrait vignette of Cacique Lempira, the indigenous Lenca chieftain, appears at left, with the Honduran coat of arms at right. The design is framed by fine lathe-work borders typical of Waterlow & Sons production of the period. |

| 备注 |
Banco de Honduras — not to be confused with the later Banco Central de Honduras, established in 1950 — issued this note during a period of acute fiscal pressure. The early 1930s hit Central American export economies hard, with banana and coffee revenues collapsing simultaneously as global commodity prices cratered after 1929. Honduras was particularly exposed given its structural dependence on United Fruit Company concessions.
Waterlow & Sons had been printing for Honduran institutions since at least the 1910s, and their intaglio work on this series is among the finer output for the region. P#37 is scarce in any grade; surviving examples suggest limited issue volume relative to lower denominations in the same series.
