| Obverse description | The obverse features facing busts in high relief of Prime Minister Ion I.C. Brătianu (left) and King Ferdinand I (right), positioned on either side of the central field with their names inscribed below in the legend. Between the two portraits, an extract from Decree-Law 1053/1919 is engraved in italic script, reading that the adoption of the Gregorian calendar was approved and that 1 April 1919 became 14 April 1919. The Romanian coat of arms appears at the lower centre between the two figures. The country name ROMANIA arcs along the upper border, while the denomination 10 LEI and the date 2019 are inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
