Obverse description Light and dark green underprint on the original 500 Rubli note (P#8), with a bold red letterpress overprint applying the new denomination and issuing authority. The overprint reads 'LATVIJAS BANKAS PAGAIDU NAUDAS ZĪME' across the top and '10 LATU' in large figures flanking the centre, superimposed over the original 'PEEZI SIMTS RUBLI / 500 RUBLI' legends. Two manuscript signatures of financial officials appear in the lower left and right corners, with the serial number printed twice in black.
