Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is printed in violet and purple tones, with a central intaglio vignette of the Staburags rock formation rising from the Daugava River valley, rendered in fine engraved detail. The numeral 10 appears in large format to the left against a guilloche underprint, with the bank inscription LATVIJAS BANKAS NAUDAS ZIME across the upper portion and the denomination DESMIT LATU in bold letterpress at the foot. A facsimile signature of the bank governor appears at lower center, with the alphanumeric serial number printed twice in dark ink.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of a stylized Latvian decorative brooch ornament at center, rendered in deep violet against a complex guilloche background with geometric patterning. The Latvian coat of arms appears in the lower right corner, and the denomination numeral 10 is repeated in the upper right. The legends DESMIT LATU and LATVIJAS BANKAS NAUDAS ZIME are inscribed at top and bottom respectively, with the issue year 2000 printed at lower right.
