| 裏面の説明 | The central field presents a boldly rendered ancient Greek galley (Argo) sailing over stylized waves along the lower border, depicted in profile with oars extended and sail detail visible. Behind the vessel, an outline map of the Black Sea region is engraved in the field, with a small vignette of the Golden Fleece depicted to the right. A framed cartouche at the base of the field bears the denomination '10 ლარი LARI'. The year of issue appears at the top of the field, and the circular legend around the periphery reads in Georgian script at left and 'GEORGIA' in Latin characters at right, separated by decorative book-shaped ornaments. A dentilated border frames the design. |

The Golden Fleece series was introduced by the National Bank of Georgia as part of a broader effort to establish a bullion coinage program following the country's post-Soviet monetary reconstruction. Georgia's claim to the Golden Fleece myth is geographically grounded — ancient Colchis, the destination of Jason and the Argonauts, corresponds to the western Georgian coast along the Black Sea, a detail ancient Greek and Roman sources consistently place there.
At 3.1 grams of .999 gold, this is a fractional issue with limited secondary market depth outside the Caucasus region.
