Obverse description The obverse presents an intaglio portrait of Juraj Dobrila, the 19th-century Croatian bishop and national leader, positioned to the right on a fine guilloche underprint. The Croatian coat of arms and national chequerboard emblem appear in the upper centre, flanked by a multi-coloured security thread watermark window at left bearing the bank's name. The denomination '10' in large letterpress numerals and the inscription 'DESET KUNA' appear at lower centre, with the serial number printed twice in black.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a detailed intaglio vignette of the Roman amphitheatre of Pula (1st century AD), rendered in fine line engraving across the central field, with the caption 'PULA ARENA, I. ST. POSLIJE KRISTA' above. A smaller topographic vignette of the medieval hilltop town of Motovun appears at lower left. The large numeral '10' in open letterpress style anchors the lower right, with the commemorative date 'ZAGREB, 30. SVIBNJA 2004.' and the Governor's signature printed vertically at right.
