| Obverse description | Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of King Gustav I (Gustav Vasa, c. 1496–1560) set within an ornate oval frame at left, wearing a fur-trimmed hat and period costume. The centre of the note carries the denomination numeral '10' within a guilloche rosette above the large gothic lettering 'TIO', flanked by an elaborate engine-turned underprint in pale tones; an oval guilloche medallion occupies the right field.
