Obverse lettering Sveriges Riksbank inlöser, vid anfordran, denna sedel å Tio Kronor med guldmynt enligt lagen om rikets mynt af den 30 Mai 1873
(Translation: Sweden's Riksbank will pay, on demand, for this note Ten Kronor in gold coin according to the law on the national coinage of 30th May 1873)
Reverse description The back is printed in black on white paper, centred on an oval vignette containing a finely engraved portrait of King Gustav Vasa in three-quarter view, clad in armour and a plumed hat, enclosed within an elaborate elliptical frame of dense guilloche lacework. The numeral "10" appears in large ornate form to both the left and right of the central medallion, with the bank name arcing across the upper portion of the oval surround. The entire composition is contained within a symmetrical border of intricate lathe-work engraving.
