正面描述 The obverse is printed in black intaglio on a pale green guilloche underprint, with an elaborate floral and acanthus scroll border enclosing the entire design. A central heraldic vignette at the top shows a crowned coat of arms supported by two rampant lions. Below, the bank name is set in Gothic letterpress, followed by the redemption clause and the denomination FEMTIO KRONOR in bold intaglio lettering within an ornamental panel. The denomination numeral 50 appears in vertical guilloche panels on both lateral margins, and the date and place of issue are inscribed at the foot of the central text field. 备注

Mälare Provinsernas Enskilda Bank was one of Sweden's provincial note-issuing banks operating under the 1824 and later 1874 banking acts, which permitted private banks to issue their own notes against a regulated specie reserve. The 1874 act tightened those reserve requirements considerably, and this 1875 note was issued under the revised regime — meaning the bank had to hold a higher proportion of gold and silver backing than its earlier issues required.

Sweden's Riksbank acquired the exclusive right to issue banknotes in 1897, at which point all provincial bank circulation ceased. This note predates that consolidation by over two decades.
