备注

Norges Bank established its own printing works in 1877, and this 10 Kroner was among the earliest products of that in-house facility — a deliberate move toward printing independence at a time when Norwegian national sentiment was sharpening against the Swedish union. Christian Christie, one of the more accomplished Norwegian engravers of the period, cut the plates, and his work on this series is considered technically accomplished by the standards of contemporary Scandinavian note production.

The issue spans an unusually long window, remaining in production through 1901 — the year Oscar II's reign effectively ended in Norway following the dissolution crisis that would formalize in 1905.
