| 表面の銘文 | HARALD V · NORGES KONGE IAR 2008 (Translation: Harald V, King of Norway IAR 2008) |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse commemorates Norwegian poet Henrik Wergeland, featuring his characteristic round spectacles and his facsimile signature as central design elements. The coin's field is artistically divided into two sections, one of which is stylized to evoke a billowing sheet of paper, symbolizing Wergeland's literary legacy. The denomination 10 KR appears beneath the glasses, with the engraver's initials EF and the poet's name completing the design. A raised ring borders the rim. The composition balances figurative and abstract elements in a bold commemorative style. |

The 2008 issue commemorates Henrik Wergeland, the Norwegian poet and political activist whose 1845 death at thirty-seven cut short what many considered the most energetic literary voice of nineteenth-century Norway. Wergeland spent much of his short career agitating for the removal of the "Jewish paragraph" from the 1814 Norwegian constitution — the clause barring Jews from the kingdom — a campaign he never lived to see succeed. The paragraph was finally repealed in 1851, six years after his death.
