| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of King Harald V rendered in low relief occupies the central field. A continuous legend encircles the bust along the inner rim, with the date 2008 appearing below the portrait, flanked by the mint mark and a raised ring bordering the rim. The engraver's initials IAR appear within the legend. The design is executed in a restrained, contemporary style characteristic of modern Scandinavian coinage. |
