| Obverse description | Plain yellow-tinted note of typeset letterpress construction, entirely text-based with no pictorial vignette. A large pale underprint of the denomination numeral and abbreviation '10 Kr.' fills the centre field. The issuer's name, 'Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani Aktieselskap,' is set in bold display type at the top, above a detailed Norwegian-language redemption clause.
