(Translation: Christian IX King of Denmark)
Reverse description Allegorical seated figure of Mother Denmark facing left, draped in classical robes, holding a long sceptre or staff in her raised right hand. She rests against a large heraldic shield bearing the Danish royal arms of three crowned lions passant with nine hearts, while a porpoise or dolphin reclines at her feet to the left, symbolising Danish maritime heritage. A sheaf of wheat stands to the right of the composition. The denomination 10 KRONER is arranged in two arching lines flanking the central figure, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
