| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa, her hair elaborately dressed and tied with a ribbon, set within an open wreath composed of a palm branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim, reading M · THERESIA · D · G · R · IMP · GE · HU · BO · REG, abbreviating her full imperial and royal titles. The portrait is rendered in a Baroque style characteristic of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. The field within the wreath is plain, with the bust occupying the central area. |
