| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing hair, prominent Habsburg jaw, and armored shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The denominational value mark X appears in an oval cartouche at the lower left of the field. The encircling legend, interrupted by the bust, reads LEOPOLDVS D G R I S A G H B REX, identifying the emperor by name and his principal royal and imperial titles. The portrait is rendered in the Baroque style characteristic of late 17th-century Habsburg coinage, with fine engraving detail in the hair and drapery. A beaded inner border frames the design. |
