| 背面描述 | Elaborately ornamented coat of arms of the Archbishop of Salzburg, featuring the ecclesiastical and princely quarters surmounted by a mitre and surrounded by decorative mantling. The numeral value 10 is displayed prominently at center, flanked by the two parts of the date, which is divided by the denomination numeral. The overall composition is symmetrical and typical of Habsburg-influenced ecclesiastical heraldic coinage of the period. |

Hieronymus von Colloredo, enthroned as Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg in 1772, was among the most committed Josephinist reformers in the ecclesiastical territories — slashing feast days, suppressing monasteries, and generally making himself despised by his subjects. These kreuzers were struck almost immediately after he took power, financing an administration that was as fiscally rationalized as it was spiritually austere. His most famous antagonist was on his own payroll: Leopold Mozart served in his court, and Wolfgang left his employ in 1781 after a relationship that ended, notoriously, with a literal kick.
