| Reverse description | The arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg displayed on an ornate oval shield, quartered with the episcopal cross of Salzburg and the imperial eagle, surmounted by a patriarchal cross above a princely hat with hanging tasselled cords (galero) draped on either side. The denomination numeral 10 is prominently placed at the base of the shield between the date 1772, split as 17 and 72 flanking the value. The overall composition reflects the elaborate baroque heraldic style characteristic of late 18th-century ecclesiastical coinage. |
