Obverse description Unadorned bare head of Friedrich Wilhelm, Prince of Nassau, facing right, rendered in a neoclassical style with close-cropped curly hair. The effigy is positioned centrally within a wide flat field, without truncation inscription. The surrounding legend reads FRIEDRICH WILHELM FÜRST ZU NASSAU, separated by a period at the conclusion, running along the inner border of a finely milled rim.

Reverse description Central shield bearing the Nassau lion passant, the escutcheon surmounted by a princely crown and flanked on either side by the date 1809, with the numerals divided across the field left and right of the shield. The denomination (10) appears in parentheses at the base of the design. The circular legend 120 EINE FEINE MARK runs along the periphery, divided left and right of the crowned shield, all within a finely milled border.
