Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, surmounted by a bishop's mitre and flanked by two heraldic supporters. The denomination mark 'K' appears to the right of the shield. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the coin, interrupted by small pellet stops. The overall design is characteristic of late Renaissance German ecclesiastical coinage, struck in hammered style with slightly uneven fields.
