| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I (Franz I) of Lorraine facing right, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture characteristic of mid-18th century Austrian coinage. The legend encircling the effigy reads FRANC•D•G•R•IMP•S•A•GER•IER•REX•LO•B•M•H•D, an abbreviation of Franciscus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae Ierusalem Rex, Lotharingiae Bar Mosellanarum Dux. The bust is finely detailed with drapery at the truncation. The field surrounding the portrait is smooth and unadorned. |

| Reverse description | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, bearing on its breast a shield displaying the combined arms of Lorraine and Tuscany set upon a decorative platform or cartouche. The eagle's two crowned heads face outward to either side, a hallmark of Habsburg heraldic tradition. The date and denomination mark appear within the reverse legend, which reads IN TE DOMINE SPERAVI•1764•X, a devotional motto translating as 'In Thee, O Lord, have I placed my hope.' The overall composition reflects the formal imperial heraldic style prevalent in Austrian coinage of the mid-18th century. |
