Obverse description Central device depicts the arms of Regensburg — a stylised gateway with two towers, the city's heraldic emblem — set upon a stepped pedestal bearing the denomination numeral 10, flanked by laurel and olive branches. The date 1781 appears divided on either side of the shield, with the mintmaster's letter B in the lower field beneath the pedestal. The circular legend, reading in Latin, indicates the fine silver content of 120 pieces to the Cologne mark, and the city name RATISBONA appears in the lower exergual area. The whole is surrounded by a milled border.
