Reverse description At center, a boldly rendered Imperial double-headed eagle with wings displayed occupies the full field; the two heads face outward to left and right respectively, each with open beak, and are surmounted by a single large Imperial crown. The eagle's breast is plain, and its talons are depicted at the base of the design. The surrounding legend, inscribed along the full circumference in Latin, reads 'IOSEPHVS II. D. G. ROM. IMP. SEMP. AVG.', identifying the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II as the nominal overlord under whose authority the city's coinage was struck. The coin is enclosed by a boldly milled outer border matching the obverse.
