Reverse description Central field features a displayed imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings, each head surmounted by a crown, with a circular shield on its breast bearing the denomination numeral '10'. The eagle is rendered in the late Renaissance heraldic style characteristic of Swiss cantonal coinage. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner border and a rope-twist outer border. The surrounding Latin legend, separated by cross stops, reads + x DOMINE + CONSERVA + NOS x IN + PACE +, a devotional motto meaning 'O Lord, preserve us in peace.'
