Opmerkingen

The Nationalbank für Böhmen und Mähren was established in 1939 immediately after the Reich's occupation, replacing the National Bank of Czechoslovakia as the sole issuing authority for the Protectorate. It operated under direct German supervision while maintaining the fiction of Czech administrative continuity — hence the bilingual German-Czech naming. Notes of this series were denominated in korun, not Reichsmark, a deliberate policy choice to manage currency absorption gradually and prevent immediate economic disruption in the occupied territory.

Giesecke & Devrient, Leipzig handled production throughout the Protectorate note series. With over twelve million printed, this denomination saw genuine circulation rather than limited wartime issue.
