Obverse description Central field features the Soviet state emblem comprising a hammer and sickle superimposed on a globe, framed by two sheaves of wheat bound with a ribbon, with a five-pointed star at the apex. The trial alloy designation 'А23' appears incuse at the lower left of the field, with the legend 'СССР' (USSR) inscribed along the lower rim in bold Cyrillic characters. The design is rendered in moderate relief with fine detailing on the wheat ears and ribbon folds.

Reverse description The large numeral '10' dominates the upper central field in bold relief, flanked on each side by a stylized laurel-and-oak branch curving upward from a small floral ornament at the base. Below the numeral, the denomination 'КОПЕЕК' is inscribed in a straight Cyrillic legend across the middle of the field, with the date '1956' positioned in the lower exergual area beneath the branches. The overall design is clean and typographic, consistent with Soviet coinage of the mid-twentieth century.
