| Obverse description | Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed in the centre of the field, each head surmounted by a separate crown and the whole surmounted by a large imperial crown bearing a cross finial. The eagle's breast bears a shield depicting St. George slaying the dragon. The talons grip a bundle of crossed arrows and an orb, flanked on either side by decorative ribbon scrollwork. The mintmaster's initials Ф Х appear below the eagle, with the date 1833 inscribed along the lower rim. |
