Aanvullende informatie

The Warsaw Mint struck Russian imperial silver during a period of acute political tension — the mint operated under Russian control following the brutal suppression of the November Uprising of 1830–31, which dissolved the Kingdom of Poland's autonomy and placed its institutions directly under St. Petersburg. Coins from this facility carry the MW mintmark, standing for Mennica Warszawska. Production of this denomination at Warsaw ceased after 1855, the year Nikolai I died mid-reign, which accounts for the short two-year window spanning both emperors.
