| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Emperor Alexander II facing right, rendered in high relief with fine classical portraiture. A Cyrillic legend surrounds the effigy along the upper and lower periphery, reading АЛЕКСАНДР ПЕРВЫЙ Б.М. ИМПЕРАТОРЕ ВСЕРОС. The portrait is contained within an inner beaded border, itself set within a plain outer rim. The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned. A small star appears in the lower field below the bust. |
