Bosnia and Herzegovina's convertible mark is pegged to the euro at a fixed rate inherited from the Deutsche Mark peg established in 1997 — a monetary arrangement written into the Dayton Agreement framework and administered by the Currency Board of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which by law cannot conduct discretionary monetary policy.
