| Obverse description | The national arms of the Lao People's Democratic Republic are displayed in the central field, featuring a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by sheaves of rice and set above a stylised landscape with mountains and a rising sun on a ribbon at the base.
