The national emblem — a Raggiana bird-of-paradise perched above a Kundu drum and ceremonial spear — appears to the right, with the denomination numeral '10' at each corner. The legend 'BANK OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA' and legal tender clause are inscribed across the face.
