| Opis rewersu | The reverse presents a stylised genre scene of a Ukrainian family gathered around a table set for Sviat Vechir (Holy Evening), the traditional Christmas Eve supper. Five figures — two parents and three children — are depicted in rounded, folk-inspired relief, their haloes rendered in selective gold gilding; a sixth infant figure at the centre of the composition holds a small gilded candle. The foreground table is laden with twelve meatless dishes including varenyky, kutia, fish, bread, and ceramic vessels, all finely detailed in relief. The star-scattered field in the background reinforces the nocturnal Christmas atmosphere. |
